| Nov 99 - Nov 05 | Delivery Manager for a Broadband Order Management System in support of the launch of ADSL. Managing a multidisciplinary team covering design, multiple development teams, test and Customer Service. In addition to people management skills, involved a high level of technical understanding of the product and the systems (Remedy & Oracle) developments. Project budget £2M per annum. |
| Jun 99 - Oct 99 | Programme Manager for the trouble ticketing system in use by all BT's multi-media technical Customer Service helpdesks. A short trouble-shooting project to recover the systems, operations, development pipeline and infrastructure. Project successfully completed and returned to stable state. |
| Sep 96 - May 99 | Engineering Programme Manager for the launch of the Home Highway and Business Highway (ISDN) product from feasibility through to launch and in-life management. This was a world-first product and involved championing new ways of working with our external suppliers. Co-ordination of a wide variety of activities including business case development, process definition, war-gaming and trials, software changes to a large number of legacy systems including major telephone exchange software upgrades. Liaison with unions on introduction of a completely new product, Oftel and associated logistics. Project budget was £15M and out-turned at £14.7M. |

| Jan 94 - May 96 | Delivery Manager for Multimedia Applications Development in support of the BT Interactive TV trial - e.g. video-on-demand, games, home shopping, banking, advertising, TV-on-demand - another world first which received world-wide acclaim. Liaising with development and test teams within BT and third party supplier (Oracle). Delivered to very tight time-scales and involved considerable commuting between home, San Francisco and Washington, DC with team management across time zones. Also developed a radically new system for Content Management which had not been perceived at the inception. |

| Jan 91 - May 93 | Technical Group Leader for a team of up to 18 people working on a number of different IT related projects. Major contribution to the development of Enhanced Facsimile Services (fax broadcast, fax-on-demand, homefax) - development of prototypes and giving a large number of presentations both internally and to third parties - plus support at several high profile conferences and trade shows. Concurrently, served on ISO Working Group developing the standard ISO 8613 - Office Document Architecture for which I was also the Editor. Significant proportion of time spent on people development, appraisements, counselling etc. |
