My wife and I moved into the village on 30 June last year, having previously lived in Yorkshire.

I am retired from occupations as a Minerals Surveyor and latterly as a Liability Adjuster. As such I have time and the interest to devote to local matters. My experience includes dealing with a host of different establishments, including the Department for Trade and Industry, Local Authorities and Utility companies, Solicitors and Her Majesty's Inspectorate for Mines and Quarries.

My achievements are being retired at the tender age of 53 then finding a village like Occold, a piece of England so green and peaceful, where I can enjoy my time together with my wife Jackie and not forgetting our Border terrier Ralph.

As a Parish Councillor my aspirations are to preserve and enhance whenever and wherever possible. Village amenities, facilities and services will always come first in the interest of Occold people.
