  • Occold ORACLE is sponsored by ORAC and delivered free to every house in the village. It is published quarterly and delivered at the beginning of (approximately) Feb, May, Aug and Nov.
     

  • Occold Web Site is supported by ORAC. It compliments the newsletter by providing rapid updates and retaining an archive of past newsletter articles. There are no specific copy dates - any changes, additions etc will normally be made within 48 hours.

Advertising your Event

If you have planned an event, please take advantage of the web site and the
notice boards in the village (one on the village green and one on the village hall driveway).

Please take down posters shortly after the event as it detracts from
effectiveness of subsequent advertising

Andy and Toni at the Beaconsfield Arms also welcomes your posters as many
visitors often make enquiries at the pub about village events too.

Articles for submission

  • Text articles can be submitted in paper or electronic form. For lengthy articles, most of the popular electronic formats (.txt., .rtf, .doc etc) can be handled and would be preferred
  • Pictures and photographs can be submitted in paper or electronic form. Photographs in most of the popular electronic formats (.jpg, .bmp. .gif etc) can be handled and give a better result than scanning
  • Submitters are solely responsible for the content of their articles, in particular any copyright issues
  • Articles containing links to other web sites should be checked to ensure any such links are working. Thereafter, the submitter is responsible for maintaining these
  • Business advertising, articles and for sale / wanted items should be accompanied by the appropriate fee - cheques should be made payable to ORAC
  • Organisations with their own pages on the web site are solely responsible for the content that is included. It is recommended that, in general, email addresses should be used to provide contact details
     
  • Business advertising on the website can contain any amount of pages, words, pictures, links etc up to a maximum size of 100K bytes
